Bissell Lift-Off® Revolution® Pet Vacuum

I bought the Bissell Lift-Off® Revolution® Pet Vacuumalmost 5 years ago, when I opened a Bed & Breakfast – when getting a dog was just a dream for this allergy-sufferer.

It was important that the vacuum have a HEPA filter, both for my own sake, and for that of my B&B guests.

The first time I used it, I remember being amazed at how much my previous vacuum had missed that this one easily sucked up (sometimes, ignorance is bliss!)  Thankfully, 5 years later, this is still the case.  Great suction, at a fraction of the price of a Dyson (which I’m still coveting). It’s as effective on my hardwood floors as it is on the high-pile area rugs in the bedrooms.

A few cool features – the canister detaches, which is handy when I’m doing the stairs, or when I’m sucking up cobwebs from the corners of the ceiling with the extension wand.  Another great feature is the “Turbo Brush” which is so much more effective than the upholstery brushes most vacuums come with (why aren’t they all like this?)  I also like how there are seperate switches for the power and the rotating brush (perfect for wood floors).  Oh, and the light is helpful for cleaning under the furniture.

Now that I have a puppy, I’m really appreciating both it’s cleaning power, and the fact that it’s not sputtering out dust and dirt, the way my old vacuum did when the bag was full.  Did I mention – no bags?  Love it!  And the dirt container is so easy to empty and clean.

Great value, and great vacuum makes for a happy domestic god!

I have to give a great rating. I have one, bought it on sale at Canadian Tire and would not consider even thinking of another model. I have 2 cats and 1 dog and the place looks clean. It does reduce allergies but does not eliminate them.
