Hamilton Beach BrewStation 12 Cup Coffee Maker

I bought this coffee maker at the Hamilton Beachfactory in 2006, when I was looking for a coffee maker for the Bed & Breakfast I was opening.  I was looking for something where guests could serve themselves, and that would keep the coffee hot, and didn’t want to deal with insulated carafes, and the inevitable ‘can you please pass the coffee’?

This Hamilton Beachcoffee maker is incredibly simple to use.  It uses a regular basket filter – add one scoop of coffee per cup, then fill the receptacle with the corresponding amount of water.  Press one button and the coffee brews and collects in the BrewStation where it stays hot.  This eliminates the need for a caraffe.  They use what they refer to as a ‘gentle warmer’ as opposed to a hot plate, which they claim doesn’t burn the coffee.  I can’t attest to this, as the coffee never lasted very long in the BrewStation. 🙂

One of the coolest features about the BrewStation is that you can serve yourself coffee as it’s brewing.  It’s just a matter of pressing your cup against the dispenser.

I think this is a very clever, handy product.

The Hamilton Brewer as that Gentle Warmer Station. So, I have to make a decision here… I have a Hamilton Food Processor (silver) and a Hamilton Stand Mixer (silver) should I go for it? Yes, it’s all about decisions. Because I know I can trust Hamilton brand.
