Dell Laptop 1525 Series

In July of 2007 I received the Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop computer. I really liked this laptop, it had great power and always loaded quickly. These two things are very important to me. It was also a nice solid machine. I’d noticed that other brands seemed to be a bit plastic like and I was never impressed.

About a year and a half after owning it, it began to overheat. Sometimes it would completely shut down in the middle of using it. I learned to give it a few minutes and then it would usually work fine. Soon after I learned that if I removed the battery it would stay cooler for a longer period of time.

The Dell Inspiron 1525 continued to work at full capacity other than this issue. When it finally burned out a few months ago I actually purchased the newest model in this series.

You might wonder why, after all the over heating problems I encountered, I would purchase the same computer over again. The reason is because every other aspect of this computer was wonderful. The Dell never slowed down and never seemed to become obsolete in any way. Other people I have known purchase laptops that don’t work well a year later and this was not my experience with the Dell Inspiron 1525.

I also picked up an Inspiron 1525 three years ago and was very impressed with it! Fast, powerful, great super-clear wide screen, etc. I love it so much that I’m in the process of replacing the screen (which “shattered” when my cat knocked it off a table) rather than purchase a replacement.
